UK_Amaravati: Luang Por Sumedho Teaching an Open Retreat in 2017

Luang Por Sumedho has accepted an invitation to lead an ‘Open Retreat’ at Amaravati between Friday the 12th to Friday the 19th of May 2017. This retreat is intended to be for both the broader monastic community and for the lay community. The Temple will be the main group meditation space, with the Retreat Centre mostly used to accommodate visiting sangha members. The retreat will follow the format used on the earlier occasion of Luang Por Sumedho’s 80th birthday. NB This is the only retreat that Luang Por Sumedho plans to teach in Western Europe in the near future.
Immediately following this retreat, elders from our worldwide community of monastic disciples of Ajahn Chah will gather for 5 days at Amaravati for the 2017 International Elders Meeting (IEM).
