On the New Moon day of May 2017, 83 bhikkhus participated in the fortnightly recitation of their patimokkha rule. This recitation was followed by a Dhamma teaching offered by Luang Por Liem. The entire gathering of bhikkhus, siladhara, samaneras and anagarikas altogether numbered 120; 32 nationalities from 33 monasteries.  Such International Elders' Meetings of the disciples of Ajahn Chah, take place approximately every three years and this year was organized to include a larger sangha gathering. On the morning of Friday 26th the gathering closed with blessing chants, a discourse from Luang Por Sumedho and everyone asking for forgiveness from the senior sangha members, Luang Por Liem, Luang Por Sumedho and Luang Por Anek and Luang Por Khemadhammo.
